Finally I bought a travel card, because it is a 1.5 hours walk to get to the core of the city, even though I am already in the city. Traveling with a card is cheap and makes therefore sense. The metro is incredible clean, you could sit on the floor, but no, it is forbidden to sit on the floor. The stations are very spacious, the trains have a nice system of blinking lamps to show the next stop, above all that I love the fact, that I can easily reach the handle above my head, how cool is that.

The nice thing is, that there is often wind here in Singapore, which makes the warmth bearable. The gardens are really amazing, another master piece of futuristic landscaping, everything is shaped, trimmed and perfected, only a lonely plastic bag disturbs this paradise, but actually a welcoming disturbance.

I have been to many botanical gardens, wherever I go, the botanical garden is a must, as it is a nice place to retreat and relax.
One of the more interesting one's is in Iceland, where due to the climate; the temperature rarely ever reaches 20 degree celsius, the sunlight and the geographic location they grow the local plants, which are usually not displayed in other botanical gardens.

In Singapore, there are two greenhouses. How strange is that, was my first thought, when the temperature outside is ideal for all the tropical plants; but the houses are actually cooler than the outside, one was themed with flowers from different areas of the world and housed also a big variety of orchids, the other was the cloud house, a bit moist due to artificial waterfalls and had a big and very impressive mountain with tropical plants all over.

It seems like everything or rather everybody gets photographed, except for the plants, they just serve as beautiful background and maybe by accident, a photo is taken, were only plants are displayed. Most visitors though were rather quick with exploring, and maybe rushed afterwards to the next attraction.
