Today I walked in the direction of the big wheel, I had to cross two main roads and tried to find a way for the pedestrians.

A lot of the footpaths have a roof, so that the people can 'walk in comfort', which sounds a bit weird, but then I read that there are some wild animals, maybe this is the reason for the roof or the thought of protection due to the sun or the rain, although I don't think that anyone stays dry, when it is pouring down with rain.
When there is eventually a footbridge over the big roads, then they are nicely decorated with beautiful Bougainvillea in all colors and then, surprisingly, lead directly into the next shopping centre.

There are a lot of shopping centres here and they are always a load of buyers and everybody carries at least one plastic or paper bag.

Of course the big wheel, the 'Singapore flyer', 165m high, one trip lasts 30 minutes. The view is overwhelming, one building is more modern and more futuristic than the other, the business destrict is full of well known brands. Before leaving the wheel, the sweet tape voice announced details about the city development and that more exciting buildings are planned with planted roof tops, which allow the tourists a welcoming space to recover...
